White makes dark pixels easier to notice, black helps reveal bright pixels, and red, green and blue can expose subpixel differences. Inspection is visual: the webpage cannot automatically detect defects in the physical panel.
Dust, reflections and viewing angle can resemble defects. Check the same location across colors and viewing conditions. This test does not repair pixels or determine whether a display qualifies for a warranty claim.
No. A webpage can display colors but cannot observe physical defects in your panel. You need to inspect the screen yourself.
The color overlay still fills the webpage. Maximize the browser window, or use a browser that supports fullscreen to inspect more of the panel.
