QUICK START

How to use the refresh rate

  1. Move the browser window onto the display you want to check.
  2. Click Measure and keep the page in the foreground until the result appears.
  3. Repeat after changing display settings or moving the window to another monitor.

Understanding your results

The test samples 180 animation-frame timestamps and converts the median interval to an estimated rate in Hz. This reflects the browser's rendering cadence, which often follows the display refresh rate.

Power saving, browser throttling, variable refresh rate and system load can affect the measurement. This is not a direct hardware query; use your operating-system display settings to confirm the configured monitor refresh rate.

Frequently asked questions

Why does a high-refresh display show a lower result?

The browser or operating system may be limiting rendering cadence. Check the active display mode and power settings, then repeat with this page visible.

Can I compare multiple monitors?

Yes. Move the browser window fully onto each display and run a new measurement on that display.
