How to use the mouse test
- Move into the mouse test area and try the left, right and middle buttons.
- Test side buttons if your browser exposes them, then scroll in both directions.
- Single-click normally several times to check for suspicious duplicate signals. Reset the test before trying another mouse.

Understanding your results
Total Clicks counts mouse-down events received in the test area. Double Clicks counts browser-recognized double clicks. Possible chatter marks unusually close left-button signals; it is a prompt to repeat the test, not a hardware diagnosis.
Side-button behavior depends on the browser and operating system. Browser polling is an estimate based on movement events. For a dedicated movement sample and graph, use the mouse polling rate test.
Frequently asked questions
Does a double-click count mean my mouse is broken?
No. A deliberate double click is normal. Test with separate, ordinary single clicks and look for repeatable unwanted duplicates.
Why do the back and forward buttons behave differently?
Some systems reserve side buttons for browser navigation. The test attempts to suppress navigation inside its area, but behavior can vary.
