- Move the pointer across the test area using your trackpad.
- Try a left click and a right click using your system's configured gestures.
- Scroll vertically and horizontally. If your browser exposes pinch gestures, try a pinch inside the area.

Understanding your results
This tool reports pointer and wheel events delivered to the page. It helps you check whether movement and clicks are reaching the browser and whether scrolling responds in the expected direction.
A browser cannot reliably distinguish a mouse from a trackpad for every event. Scrolling may be reported as a wheel event, and system-level three- or four-finger gestures may never reach the page. Use the trackpad itself when interpreting the results.
Frequently asked questions
Why does a multi-finger gesture do nothing here?
Some gestures switch desktops or control the operating system. Those gestures may be intercepted before the browser can observe them.
Can I use an external trackpad?
Yes. A connected external trackpad can generate the same pointer and scrolling events as a built-in laptop trackpad.
