Understanding your results

The page generates a short tone locally and routes it to the selected stereo channel where the browser supports stereo panning. It uses the audio output chosen by your system or browser.

Mono audio settings, Bluetooth profiles and speaker wiring can affect which channel you hear. Hearing a tone confirms this signal path, but it does not measure frequency response, distortion or overall sound quality.

Why do I hear both sides during a single-channel test?

Check whether mono audio is enabled in system accessibility settings. Some output devices or connection profiles combine stereo channels.

Why is there no sound?

Check system volume, the selected output device and whether the browser tab is muted. Try Test Both before investigating a channel-specific issue.
